FFE

FFE stands for Frontier First Encounters. It was the third in the Elite series of space trading and combat simulation games originally written by Ian Bell and David Braben.

Below are links to my mod to the game. It is based on John Jordan's JJFFE version 2.8 source code. JJFFE is a hacked and reverse engineered version of a commercial game, so it is almost certainly illegal to download this mod even if you own the original game. In order to play my mod you will need to have installed the standard version of JJFFE first.

• Win-32 binary compiled against DirectX version 9.0
• Source code for the mod.
• Ship hacking program. This will hack any unmodified version of the FFE game including the original game and all versions of JJFFE.

I am currently involved with WildFire Games working as a programmer on the 0AD project - an RTS (Real Time Strategy) historical game set in the time period 500BC - 500AD.
